Because if Pete King gets his way, the White House will be able to press charges against Newspapers (presumably the Networks as well) for calling shenanigans on the various "intelligence" programs underway to catch terrorists. Why would King want this, you might ask:
"'No one elected The New York Times to do anything' King said. 'They're breaking the law to satisfy their own arrogant, liberal agenda'."
Well, of course-you knew he'd say something like that, right.
Afterall, we are yielding fruit (well, fruitcakes anyway) in this thing.
Nevertheless...kiss your local blogger: It may be the only free speech left.
When he says "arrogant, liberal agenda," does he mean the First Amendment? I guess that's par for the course with these assholes. As far as they are concerned, the Bill of Rights was a liberal conspiracy from the start- except for the Second Amendment...and the part about religion, as long as it's Christian and votes the right way.
ReplyDeleteFucking chickenhawks.

As I've always said, I'd love to go on O'Reilly under one condition - every time he interrupts, I get to punch him in the face.
Courage is about making the hard choices in a complicated reality, not about playing toy soldiers, casually spending for personaly ego and polital clout the lives of 18 year olds who could have lived generations.
Sorry for the typos - my pocketpc dumps characters randomly.
ReplyDeletePete King represents central Long Island, including such bastions of the finest minds of 1850 as Levittown (the home of Bill O'Reilly). This is one of the areas near NYC that grew because of the Robert Moses-engineered white flight of the 1950s and '60s.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm not at all surprised Rep. King has quasi-fascist characteristics.
