Geoff Davis Wants to Strip Search Your Children

You know...

Isn't it bad enough that High School felt like prison, but now they want to treat your kids like they work in a fucking diamond mine.

Is this the War on Drugs? Is this necessary?

  1. Just getting them acclimated to the rubber gloves and bullet-nosed flashlights that'll be their future.

Using your Kroger's card is going to involve a prostate exam before too long.

  2. Jesus H. Fucking Christ!!

Did I not say earlier in a comment that we are living in an increasingly FASCIST state?

Part of the text of the legislation reads as follows, under Section 3, "Searches Based on Reasonable Suspicion":

"(b) Searches Covered- A search referred to in subsection (a) is a search by a full-time teacher or school official, acting on any reasonable suspicion based on professional experience and judgment, of any minor student on the grounds of any public school, if the search is conducted to ensure that classrooms, school buildings, school property and students remain free from the threat of all weapons, dangerous materials, or illegal narcotics. The measures used to conduct any search must be reasonably related to the search's objectives, without being excessively intrusive in light of the student's age, sex, and the nature of the offense." [my bolding]

So ostensibly a gung-ho first-year teacher could demand Susie Rottencrotch to drop her panties as long as that teacher supposedly believes he or she has "reasonable suspicion."

Man...I smell lawsuits mounting already. If the Senate has an iota of intelligence, this House Resolution will get squelched in the Senate's Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, to which it has been currently referred.

    Yikes. What next?

    Rocky Mountain High,
    Charles

P.S. Sponsored by Republican Representative Geoff Davis of Kentucky, this fucking House Resolution had 17--count 'em--17 co-sponsors. And to make matters worse, they railroaded the mother-fucker by putting it to a simple voice vote!!
