Winning the War/Emboldening Terrorism

This can't be good:

"Nearly one of every 25 weapons the military bought for Iraqi security forces is missing."

Can't imagine what might have happened to them, though I would imagine that there is a good possibility that they are being used to kill Americans, or will be.

As my father would say, "This is more of a goat-fuck everyday".

  1. Merde.

On the one hand, if this report to Congress is accurate, then American taxpayers ought to be outraged (at the voting polls especially) because we not only pay for exorbitant weapons manufacturing, but we also pay to train military arsenal, supply and logistics personnel to help to account for such weapons. (Bush is the "accountability" president, ne pas?) On the other hand, if this report is even a little trumped up, it would seem to be yet more "factual" justification (à la WMD) for staying in country longer.

Not to be flippant, yet . . .

C'est la vie. C'est la guerre.
