The Venerable Senator from Indiana, Lee Hamilton, foreign policy expert, member of Iraq Study Group and long considered a "conservative" and "hawkish" Democrat , has endorsed Barack Obama.
It's good to see a prominent Democrat from Indiana (that makes, like, 2) see the importance of the future.
That's nothing... I was shocked last night to hear a family friend pledge his support for Obama. He's voted GOP his whole life, including Bush in '04 (when most of the other Republicans I know had enough, swallowed hard, and voted Kerry, albeit with a grimace).
ReplyDeleteHe gushed with praise for Obama. We were stunned. But we were truly floored when he said he even cast a vote in the primary. Even his daughter was flabbergasted.
A die-hard conservative Republican businessman is on board with Obama. I gotta say, I didn't see that coming a year ago.
It's crazy, isn't it, that the ideological constructs of the last 16 years are in ruins, and, what do you know, the objective reality re-emerges!
